Leslie exudes passion, creativity and a drive for excellence. As the founder and Principal of the studio she focuses on finding intention behind everything she does. Her extensive knowledge of the construction process guides the functionality of every space from its inception to completion. Some of her favorite days are spent on job sites watching the designs come to life. Leslie’s signature approach of thoughtful layering and curated collections tells each client’s story with personalized authenticity. Building and supporting a team where excellence is the standard is of the utmost importance to Leslie as she leads the design process. She is also a fierce advocate for fun—concerts, travel, costume parties, you name it. Her greatest work has been raising four children and she loves traveling with her husband and is forever seeking design inspiration. Leslie firmly believes that life is meant to be lived to the fullest, and that a home’s design should tell your life’s story in style.

A detail-oriented designer and self-proclaimed lamp snob with 22 years of experience in the industry, Matt prides himself on being the “what if” guy on any project as well as super-dad to “the best nine-year-old girl in the world.” As a kid, he dreamed of opening his own restaurant, and designed one in his basement complete with a tinfoil waterfall. Nowadays, Matt channels that creative fire into intricate architectural details and intentional accents, and strives to always find something extra to bring to a design.

Taking the helm at the head of our operations team, Mary Ann’s role with Leslie Schofield Studio is to take care of our team, so they can in turn take care of our clients. With a decade of people management under her belt, she keeps our team organized and looked after, so they can focus on creating magic in your home. Mary Ann’s personal design aesthetic includes all things vibrant and whimsical, speaking to her personality: caring, bright, and always finding joy in life’s little moments.

Amanda graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in interior design nearly twenty years ago, and has been making her mark on the industry ever since. A firm believer that interior designers aren’t just decorators — but rather are full-build collaborators and problem-solvers— she loves going on the hunt for the unique pieces that deliver personality to a space, whether it be a one-of-a-kind artwork or the perfect antique to mingle among clean-lined furnishings. When she isn’t bringing full flair to interior design projects, Amanda can be found chasing the next powder day (and hopes to hit the slopes in Italy, France and Japan before her ski career is over).

Kate’s storied approach to design is exactly that — full of stories. She describes her personal aesthetic as timeless, perfectly imperfect and naturally crafted, helping clients embrace their own journeys and life experiences while showcasing the personal at every turn. Beyond the collected appeal, Kate loves working raw stone, rich texture, pops of deep color and ornate details into designs. More than anything, she strives to connect clients with materials and solutions that bring joy and ease into their everyday lives. When not designing, Kate is exploring with her daughter, planning her next travel adventure, or enjoying the mountain air that makes fall her favorite season.

Armed with degrees in business and interior design from Montana State University, Jessie  spends her days vanquishing every drab, lackluster home in her path. She is passionate about the dynamic process of design, and the variety that comes with every project. Above all else, Jessie loves to create unique and breathtaking spaces that excite our clients in their everyday lives. With a moody, mountain-inspired, multifarious style, Jessie’s hottest design hack is this: Change your lighting, change your life. Her life motto? Spin, fish, rock, repeat.

A true maximalist at heart, Rachel is a fanatic of all things bold: luxurious fabrics, dramatic sculptural pieces, or the bold juxtaposition between vintage and contemporary pieces, to name a few. A force of friendliness in our company, she uses her power for good by getting to know clients, and understanding how they live in their spaces. Her favorite part of the job, these connections allow her to create not only beautiful spaces, but functional ones where clients can live their lives effortlessly. When she isn’t designing, she’s likely sewing, making shoes, or watching 30 Rock.

Color is her superpower: as part of her design education, Ciara was a devoted student of color therapy and is able to apply color not only to evoke feelings through design, but also to shape lifestyles. Whether it’s a paint color to boost mood and encourage healthy habits, or intentional lighting to assist with headaches and activity levels, color is at the top of her toolbox. Ciara believes wallpaper and statement lighting are must-haves in any remarkable home, and lives for the high of bringing her visualizations to life in a room. Outside the studio, she’s a mom of three and lives for crisp fall air, cozy sweaters and Halloween magic.

With a degree in Interior Architecture from Utah State University, Summer comes to our team ready to show clients the power of design. Inspired by classical Viennese architecture, high-fashion fabrics and modern contemporaries such as Dan Fink, Summer recognizes the value good design brings to everyday life. She believes functionality and intentionality are the key tenets of great design, and uses her skillset in architectural visualization to further enhance her work. When not bringing passion with purpose into her work, she’s dreaming of the grand streets and timeless design of Vienna.

A graduate of Utah State University in Interior Architecture (with a minor in Art), Ashtyn is a creative who thrives on connection. Her favorite part of her job is interfacing not only with clients, but with the artisans, vendors, builders and other key players that bring so much passion to this work. A full-fledged fashion enthusiast, Ashtyn draws inspiration from lavish upholstery, abundant patterns, and dynamic event designs by producers such as David Stark. Aside from dreaming of design, you might catch her in visions of summer days and frozen treats.

Forever an advocate of going all-in on your dream home, Nicolas’s design hot take is that form can supersede function the vast majority of the time. If it looks good, it feels great. His approach to design is as a vehicle to change lives for the better, believing that a home can make or break a person’s success. Take his own personal design flair, for example: theatrical, intense, maximalist and masculine. A master at implementing accent pieces, he stands ready to help each client find their own perfect niche. When not slinging prints and pillows, you can catch Nicolas daydreaming about the perfect Memorial Day burger and fries.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture + Design from Utah State University, Rachel believes the best spaces tell stories. Inspired by travel, art and personal experiences, she gravitates toward layered, eclectic interiors that feel collected and deeply personal. She has a soft spot for sculptural furniture, oversized artwork and statement pieces that bring character into a home, and loves helping clients create spaces that reflect their own unique narratives. She also has a few design hot takes: window shutters should actually function, and pot fillers may be a little overrated. Outside of work, you’ll find her watercolor painting, getting outdoors, or spending time with her cats, Suki and Melvin, with reggaetón playing in the background.

25 years of experience have molded purchasing director Courtnie into a textile queen and mix master. Her personal style is abundant with color and joyful texture: a self-proclaimed sucker for mixed metals, she is drawn to designs that are eclectic and unexpected. Her role in our process is as a resident cake mixer (ordering pieces and coordinating installs), and finds so much joy in seeing the final baked masterpiece come together. When not wrangling the operations of designs, Courtnie identifies as a Swiftie, a dog mom to her pup Telecaster, and a New-Yorker at heart.

A native Albanian, Marina keeps our orders and installations running smooth as butter, ensuring a seamless design process for clients. Marina comes to our team with an eye for layering and describes her personal home aesthetic as Neo-Traditional, fresh and light—full of sweeping texture. She is a proponent of richly woven textiles, pattern-rich wall treatments, traditional artisan scenery à la deGournay, and all things pastel. A true believer in the “more is more” philosophy, she is always game for playing with out-of-the-box pieces in ways that feel seamless. Similarly, Marina is also always game for hitting the tennis court, whether solo or with her two daughters.

After 35 years of accounting Jen handles the numbers with ease. She keeps our team’s big ideas on track by keeping us in careful calculation. In her time with Leslie Schofield Studio, she has developed a penchant for all things clean and modern when it comes to design, and loves seeing each project come to fruition from initial budget proposals to final installs. Both a University of Utah alumna and a Utes superfan, you’re sure to hear her cheering on her team for any event.

Our resident hype women, Kendyl gets our brand, projects and expertise where they need to be: on the radars of homeowners looking to build their dream design. When she isn’t tending to the irons in the marketing fires, you can spot Kendyl in the wild with her blue heeler, Cruz, camping and adventuring in Utah’s deserts and mountains. In non-camping weather, she’s a DIYer and a fanatic of everything fantasy: Books, Renaissance faires, DnD campaigns… if there’s a fantastical theme and the opportunity for a killer costume, Kendyl is there.

Braxton keeps our studio running smoothly, and loves the variety of his everyday work. A true behind-the-scenes maestro, he takes great reward from seeing everything fall into place. His time in the industry has instilled in him a love of tile and Mountain Modern design, and a potent distaste for anything labeled “beigecore—” bring on the color! An adventurer at heart, Braxton loves Thailand and Thai cuisine, and hopes to check skydiving over the ocean off his bucket list in the near future.
